Recently, ZipRecruiter did a study on this very topic, and they found that the western part of the United States is the best place to look for a job after graduating from college. This is particularly true if you want to work in the technology niche. USAFIS is a private immigration service for foreign nationals who want to move to the United States to find new job opportunities.

The study by ZipRecruiter reviewed the 2017 labor market and examined 7 million various jobs in America to learn the ratio of entry-level college jobs that are available with the number of applicants and the availability of these types of jobs in U.S. cities.

The area with the most available jobs is the Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington area. This area’s top industry is technology and the top position is a software engineer. According to USAFIS, many new jobs are open for immigrants who want to move to the United States to start a new life.

Of the twenty cities that have the best job markets, eight of them are in the western part of the United States. As was mentioned, the area with the most job opportunities for college graduates is the Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington area of Minnesota and Wisconsin.

ChicagoThe next area is Kansas City, Missouri, and the top job there is an account manager. The third best region for finding an entry-level college job is the Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton area in Oregon and Washington and the position is project manager.

The fourth best area is the Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue region in Washington and the top job is a registered nurse. The fifth best area is the Indianapolis-Carmel district in Indiana and the top job is project manager.
