Immigrants Who Work in America Crucial to the US Economy

Throughout American history, millions of brave individuals have left their home countries to immigrate to the United States in search of better opportunities and they have contributed to the USA and its economy in a variety of important ways. Not only have immigrants played a vital role in America’s past, but new immigrants and the children of immigrants will be crucial to the growth of the US economy in the future, according to a report released by the Pew Research Center in the United States.

The USAFIS Organization has been at the forefront of helping thousands of people who want to move to America to successfully participate in the Diversity Visa Lottery Program.

The Pew Research Center report, published on March 8, 2017, states that more people will need to move to America over the next couple decades in order to fill millions of new jobs in the USA that will be created through the expansion of the economy, as well as to replace older American workers from the “Baby Boomer” generation who will be retiring from the US labor force. The study predicts that during the 2015-2035 timeframe, there will be a steady decline in the number and percentage of individuals who work in America whose parents were also born in the USA.

Over this same 20-year period, the researchers forecast that an increasing number and percentage of jobs in the USA will be filled by workers whose parents were born outside of the United States. Today, many USAFIS clients live and work in America and are making a positive impact on the US economy.

Furthermore, the Pew Research Center report (2017) declares that “the most important component of the growth in the working-age population over the next two decades will be the arrival of future immigrants.” For example, the study says that the number of immigrants living in the United States who are at the prime age to work in the USA is forecast to grow from 33.9 million in 2015 to 38.5 million in 2035. The USAFIS Organization believes that these demographic changes in the US population and its workforce will generate excellent career options for people who immigrate to the United States.

This includes immigrants who already live and work in the USA and those who will move to America in the future. To learn more about the US Diversity Visa Lottery process, contact USAFIS today!
